ISSUE 15 : Digitalization: from Vision to Motion
Analogue and Digital III: Imagination of “Digital Aesthetics” and Imagined “Digital Art”
類比與數位3:「數位美學風格」的想像與想像的「數位藝術」
June 10th, 2014Type: Image
Author: Lee, Li-chun Editor: Rikey Tenn
Quote From: All images are screenshots from the movie TRON (c) DISNEY
Note: As it appears that the concepts of "digital aesthetics" and "digital art" have become an idea that doesn't require explanation, Lee Li-chun intends to argue that the so-called "digital aesthetics" is not the characteristics of "digital technology" but the imagination of it. In addition, he points out that digital technology is not equal to digital art. As digital technology has penetrated in all aspects of people's life today, "digital art" must participate more actively in reflection on the influence of the "application of digital technology" on the modern life with awareness of problematics.
