“The Great Leap of the Radio Wave”: The Radio Industry in Colonial Taiwan
〈電波は躍進する(放送今昔物語)〉: 日治時期對臺廣播建設

通過無線電波的放送,〈南洋放送局〉計劃連結了兩個重要的歷史時空,即1935年在新公園、台北公會堂(今中山堂)、太平公學校(今大稻埕太平國小)等地舉辦的始政四十年臺灣博覽會,以及當日本昭和天皇親自宣讀的「終戰詔書」,在1945年8月15日通過廣播對殖民地和全界放送,這是天皇的聲音第一次經由電波為世人所聽見,內容卻是宣告日本無條件投降:「大東亞共榮圈」的夢想瓦解了。在延伸的兩場節目裡,我們將介紹1940年《臺灣遞信協會雜誌》第三期裡刊出島進的〈電波は躍進する(放送今昔物語)〉(註1) 這篇文章,並以電波輻射軌跡當作日本從台灣向東南亞輸出大東亞共榮圈理念之表徵;同時我們也邀到翻譯這篇文章的歷史學者賴英泰、策展人高森信男與我們聊聊廣播放送、殖民歷史,以及被想像(或媒介)的共同體。(來賓:高森信男、賴英泰)
