A Past without Past and a Future without Future: the Mise-en-Abyme Structure and Challenges of Trans-Justice: Para-Colonial@Technology
沒有過去的過去和沒有未來的未來:《穿越正義:科技@潛殖》中的套疊結構和挑戰
October 10th, 2018Type: Opinion
Author: Yang, Chen-han Editor: Rikey Tenn
Note: The exhibition, Trans-Justice: Para-Colonial@Technology, curated by Huang Chien-Hung, ruminates on such matters of urgency as digital technologies of big data and AI, and (post-)colonial phantoms that still haunt various countries as well as the ensuing improbability of transitional justice. What are the relations between these issues? And how shall we address them? Bearing those issues in mind, the author ventures into contemplation on the curatorial topics of historical justice, technology, and colonial phantoms, hoping to unveil the challenges facing the practices of "trans-justice" of any form in the age of spectacle, as is done by the force of technology, suggested by the exhibition, that has mediated (post-)colonial justice.
