A Conversation About The Seven Silences: Anger
關於〈七種靜默:忿怒〉的一場對談
January 15th, 2018Type: Performance
Author: Au Sow Yee , 高俊耀 Editor: Rikey Tenn
Quote From: 窮劇場,《窮有所本》(2017)
Note: The "Approaching Theatre" is an amalgamation of the Taiwanese and Malaysian roots, founded in 2004 by the Malaysian artist Koh Choon Eiow. "The Seven Silences: Anger," adapted from the "Seven Deadly Sins" by Wong Bik Wan, has been shown in Taiwan(2008, 2017) and Macau(2017). This talk, which is included in the theater's 2017 publication, was conducted between Koh Choon Eiow and Au Sow Yee, who is also a Malaysia artist. The conversation, taken from the varied perspectives such as personal perception and collective memories, is attempted to delve into the two artist's views on nationality and language, society and politics, creations and practices –- hopefully the two's similarities and differences on aesthetic strategies and inner visions are thereby revealed.
