ISSUE 36 : Be Queer, Be Positive
An Unwritten Chapter in the History: Spectrosynthesis and Queer British Art 1861-1967
未竟之業 : 《光.合作用》與《英國酷兒藝術》
December 26th, 2017Type: Opinion
Author: 程少鴻 Editor: Rikey Tenn
Note: In this review, the author takes "Spectrosynthesis - Asian LGBTQ Issues and Art," exhibited in MOCA Taipei (Sep. to Nov.), and "Queer British Art 1861-1967," held in Tate Modern (Apr. to Oct.), for comparative case studies. He examines the contexts of curation and framework, as well as the art history references employed in the queer-related topics of the exhibitions, to open up a discussion beyond queer art.
